We would like to remind you of the procedures in case of urgency where the nursery has to contact the parents, for example closure of the nursery due to severe weather conditions.
In all situations, the health and safety of children and staff is paramount. The decision to close the nursery will be determined by considering the safety of children and staff travelling to and from the nursery and whilst on the nursery premises. We must also ensure the required staff/child ratio is maintained, taking into account the distances members of staff have to travel to get to school.
The nursery will only consider a closure in extreme circumstances, or based on guidance from the Local Authority. We will communicate any decision by texting to all mobile telephones and we will put it on the parent’s page of the website. It is, therefore, essential that your correct contact details have been forwarded to the office.
