We are delighted to welcome you to Yeladenu Pre-School. We take pride in being a small and caring nursery that caters for the needs of each individual child. We provide an environment that facilitates the settling in period.
Children are accepted, throughout the year, from the term they turn 3.They often stay until they are ready to join the reception class of their chosen school.
This website is aimed at providing you with all the information you will need before your child starts at the Pre-School. We look forward to welcoming you to Yeladenu and to working closely with you to help your child achieve his/her potential.
Aims and Objectives
The ethos of the Pre-School is such that we are dedicated to providing a secure and stimulating environment that fosters the development of independence.
Yeladenu believes in providing opportunities for first-hand experience of our resources which span all areas of learning. The children are supported in their free play by experienced practitioners who encourage the children and interact with them.
Our aim is to recognise and fulfil the individual potential within each child. The children are therefore encouraged to pursue their natural curiosity, to listen, to express their thoughts and to strengthen their social awareness.
A balanced programme of learning through play is developed. The week is planned so that it covers the full range of activities required in the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We hope that in this way, by the time they leave, the children will have a sound foundation for achieving the required standards at school.
Yeladenu provides a safe, warm, caring, disciplined yet fun environment with a strong cultural input. As a Jewish Nursery we are committed to upholding the principles of Judaism, and to providing the basics of the customs and practices of Judaism.
Where possible, children with Special needs are catered for, after full discussion with parents, social workers, INCO and the head teachers.
We believe in establishing close links with all the family and, as a result, communication with parents is open and regular within the nursery setting. We also have regular social and fundraising events which include the children of the nursery.
